Colorworks is a one-designer studio: twelve+ years across
motion, video, and print — 2D animation and VFX for brands and
agencies in finance and tech, with a stop at PlayStation along
the way. These days the studio runs with AI folded in as a
daily collaborator, from early experiments to finished projects.
Most of the client motion work lives under NDA — a reel of
selects is in the works.

Roll & Do
An app by Colorworks
When choosing is the hardest part.
I made a task and hobby app for the moment when everything is competing
for your attention. Pick the time you have, roll among six options,
and give yourself somewhere to start.
It started with a handwritten planner, movable sticky tabs,
and a physical die. Sorting tasks by duration made the list
smaller; rolling removed the exhausting comparison step.
Roll & Do brings that same tactile logic to the screen.
Choose a lane
Quick, Medium, or Focus. Start with the time and energy you actually have.
Let the die choose
Six possible starts. One roll to move from comparing to doing.
Make room for hobbies
Hobby Hour applies the same idea to the things you want to make time for.
A personal experiment in product design and building with AI:
carrying an idea from a physical prototype into a working app,
while keeping the human choices at the center.
The print side of the practice: seamless pattern design for
home goods. AI made generating patterns nearly free, which
moved the craft to curation — 3,621 generated, thirty kept.
Custom coloring pages, small squares of art for the ColorStrips Project, and free-flowing contour drawings. The quieter, hand-drawn side of the practice.
This site — designed and built end-to-end with Claude Code as the collaborator: the pillar structure, the color system, the party mode.

The pattern pipeline
Midjourney generation → human curation → production-ready seamless tiles → product mockups → Etsy. The interesting part is everything after generation.

Party mode
This site's dark mode is an Easter egg — a Tokyo Nights neon palette with a confetti cannon, built in an afternoon with Claude Code. Try the moon icon.
